Operator

Trade name: Alouvi. Operated by Coal Marketing (France).

Governing law / venue: France (French law; courts in France), without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

Agreement

By using Alouvi (the Mac app and alouvi.coal.marketing), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The product

Alouvi provides TTS / read-aloud: select text, hear it spoken. It is not dictation or speech-to-text. Clip saving and note-taking are not part of current plans and are not promised.

Subscriptions

Alouvi offers Free ($0) and Pro ($29.99 USD/month or $144 USD/year), prepaid via Stripe Checkout. See Pricing. Pro includes Rent access to platform text-to-speech: Alouvi provides the provider keys. Fair-use playback allotments apply (Free about 240 minutes/month; Pro soft limit 1,500 minutes/month and hard review at 3,000). Unused allotments do not roll over unless we say otherwise in-product. We may change allotments with notice. Allotments are not unlimited.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Prices in USD as shown on Pricing ($29.99/mo or $144/yr for Pro). Statement descriptor: ALOUVI. Taxes may apply where required.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a paid subscription via Stripe; access continues through the paid period. Refunds are handled case-by-case via Stripe (and Stripe Customer Portal when available). Chargebacks should contact us first at support@coal.marketing. Founder or complimentary access is private and not a public plan tier.

No customer Speak API keys

Customers do not paste third-party Speak API keys into Alouvi. There is no public BYOK plan. Speak may send text/audio to third-party TTS providers (for example ElevenLabs, xAI/Grok, OpenAI) solely to fulfill the feature.

Usage

We may meter Speak usage (characters/seconds, provider, voice) to enforce allotments and operate the service. Customer-facing usage shows minutes used/remaining, not our internal cost.

Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer in ways that steal the service, attack our systems, or use Alouvi to break the law. Do not attempt to bypass Free/Pro meters.

Availability

We aim for a reliable Mac experience. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime. Voice providers may change quality or availability.

Alouvi is provided as-is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
